Recently I've been re-listening to The 4 Hour Work Week and have been reminded that time is really the asset that I have the least amount of. Yes, I have the skill set to make a lot of my ideas happen, but in what time frame and will some of them ever get done.
I have also gotten some unexpected rewards from other ideas that I have set into motion years ago. One project in particular that I didn't even realize what generating some revenue until a few months ago. This is what I need more of. Assets that I can create or have created for me and will go off and make money without my constant attention (or any attention of possible).
Two weeks ago I decided that I would see if I could get another one of these projects off the ground with as little of my time as possible. I don't want to get into to much detail on the project before its public, but I will give you the name, ExecuLive.
To do this I had gotten myself a designer and programmer (a programming team to be specific) and thus I thought everything would fall into place. I was wrong. Since then, the design got delayed and the programming team has been on hold with the design and asking for a good bit of direction.
Thus I have been lead to a state of reexamination. What I don't need is a designer and a developer and to spend the time connecting the two and putting in the time to make that happen. What I need is someone or some company to take in my general idea and make a working model with as little input from me as possible. And that is what I will now attempt to do. I've still got a good bit of breathing room in the budget that I set aside and I've already got back to my programming team, who is very well priced to see if they can simply handle the whole project. I will either luck out in this way or cancel the contract to find a team that can put the whole project together for a good price.
